The Gildan Heavy Blend crewneck, style 18000, is the workhorse of printed fleece. Half cotton for the feel, half polyester so it holds its shape and shrinks less than an all-cotton sweatshirt. Eight ounces is midweight, warm without being a winter coat.
It is the cheapest way to put a logo on fleece and still have it look right, which is why it shows up on so many campuses. Ink covers well on the smooth face. Forty colors, sizes S to 4XL. Embroidery works here too, though the loops of the fleece can swallow very small text, so keep stitched logos simple. If you want something plusher that people reach for first, the Champion or Bella+Canvas options are a step up in hand feel.
