The Port Authority CP78 is the dad cap: unstructured, low profile, washed cotton twill that starts soft instead of stiff. The front panel folds rather than standing up, which is the whole look.
Because there is no buckram behind the front, embroidery sits into a softer surface and a heavy design can pull it. Keep stitched logos modest and it looks right. Eight colors, one size fits most. This is the cap for merch and casual teams. For anything that needs to look sharp on a uniform line, the structured mesh back or the Flexfit cap holds its shape far better.
