Force is Carhartt's line for hot work, and Sun Defender is the part that blocks UV. The rating on this one, the CT106868, is UPF 50+, which means the fabric lets through a fiftieth of the ultraviolet light hitting it. The shirt is 4 ounce polyester jersey that wicks and dries fast.
For crews working outside all day, that rating is the reason to buy rather than a feature on a list. It is also a Carhartt, with the label to match. Seven colors, sizes S to 4XL, screen print only. Indoors or for a weekend event, you are paying for protection you will not use, and the plain performance tees do the same job for less.
